Can I import discounts?

The Total Import PRO supports import of all the product discount fields supported in OpenCart. If you do not need to specify all the fields, you can specify just the price and quantity fields, and the rest will be auto-populated for you with sensible default options. Please see below for details on formatting discount prices in your CSV or XML file. If you require a sample CSV file containing the correct formatting, it is available here.

Discount Price Format:

<price>:<quantity>:<customer_group_id>:<priority>:<start_date>:<end_date>

Example data:

2.50:5:8:1:jan 7:jan 12

To import the discount price you feed does not need all the fields, only the price. But if you wish to specify additional data for the discount price (such as group and quantity requirements) it has to be in this format. If you want only price, group and quantity you can use:

<price>:<quantity>

  or

2.50:5

Customer Group ID:

The Customer Group ID is the safest way to identify the customer group. You can also use the Customer Group's name, but you must make sure you use exactly the same name as the name of the customer group (even extra spaces will cause mismatches and incorrect import of this field).

The customer group id can be found by going to Sales -> Customers -> Customer Groups, select 'edit' on the customer group and you will see something like this in the URL of the page:

&customer_group_id=8

This is the ID for that particular group (in this example it is 8).

I can't seem to get the customer group part working, I have this code setup:

    199.95:5:1:1:0000-00-00:0000-00-00

It keeps thinking that the 5 is quantity for some reason, and it does not register the customer group (5 in this case) at all. Any help would be much appreciated!

What if I need to have multi-tier discounts. If that's possible, how do I separate each tier?

For instance, I want to set the price at 15.00 for 3 units, 14.50 for 6 units, 14.00 for 9 units so on and so forth.

    Hope there'll be a response.

This tutorial basicly tells how to do that, read it more carefully or ask what exactly do you need .

In your case it should be like 15:3 14.5:6 14:9.

Gxtidus, what do you mean read it more carefully? If I could find it in the article above, I wouldn't have asked, unless you are referring to another tutorial that I haven't read.

Nope, it doesn't work after I set up the second tier entry.

    What workes now:

    15.00:3

    What didn't work:

    15.00:3 14.00:6

Hello? Do I have to pay for support? If so, name a price.

It should be in separate fields, if you download the example file you will see that there are "discount_price" "discount_price2" .

So in your case it should be "Discount Price 15:3" "Discount Price 2 14.5:6" "Discount Price 3 14:9"
